An enormous number of tools and methodologies already exist for addressing different parts of the gap analysis – practitioners do not have to start from nothing. 

This website acts as a portal to the Earth Conservation Toolbox, a developing on-line source of methodologies for the ecosystem approach that contains a large amount of information likely to be useful in carrying out both the gap analysis and other elements in the Programme of Work.
