The following guide has been produced to help governments and others to
implement a gap analysis for a nation's system of protected areas, within the
framework of the Programme of Work on Protected Areas agreed by the Convention
of Biological Diversity (CBD).
The CBD is suggesting that signatory states carry out a gap analysis to identify needs for additional protected areas, to complete ecologically-representative networks of protected area systems. |
